20 february 2010
lovina, bedugul ulun danu beratan, strawberry farm, taman ayun, tanah lot, ubud greenfield

We woke up early in the morning waiting eagerly to go in the middle of the sea to see dolphins..i was praying hard that the dolphins could jump gracefully around us...too bad..it was just not our day !!! we couldn't see any dolphin..just inhaling lots of sea wind into out stomach...we were so disappointed..anyhow we took lots of photos there...

the morning scenery

the sun just started to rise

in the middle of the sea...focusing in looking for dolphins

this is how d boat looked like..

then we were heading to bedugul strawberry farm just opposite the bedugul ulun danu. Anyhow still strawberry farm in Cameron Highland is the best..

the strawberry there kind of tiny if compared to Malaysia one

without spending much time there, we proceeded to bedugul ulun danu beratan. It is a famous place which the scene being taken as background of the Rupiah note.

as usual must take photo with the sign board first

there we had chance to see many religious prayers were doing their praying there..but we were not allowed to enter the temple.

this is how the surrounding look like..

the local residents were doing their prayers...

can u see their similarities??

how they performed their prayers...

next we had our lunch buffet opposite the lake.anyhow the food there were just so so only...

this is the restaurant where we had our lunch

this is how the lake looked like...link with the danau ulun beratan..they share the same lake

after i have sprained my legs, i just knew that i wasn't being able to enjoy the next place which is the Taman Ayun. i really could.t force myself to walk any further. i sat in d car and let my hubbby go enter the taman Ayun n took photo for me to see.

this was the main statue once enter the Taman

picturesque

he took lots of pictures, but since i didnt enter i didnt know much about the places..he took less than an hour in the taman Ayun..then we headed to Tanah Lot. The tou guide, Mr tattoo said must enter this place. so no matter how pain my leg was, i still walked in with 1 'tongkat' (umbrella) with me. just bear with the pain..

the whole scene from the other side

can feel the power of almighty nature

very comfortable scene bringing the calmness of nature

Get blessing from the priest

beautiful sunset

this place is also a famous venue for pre-wedding bridal shooting

then we headed back to ubud, greenfield hotel..i was sent to an outskirt village to 'urut' my leg before it is getting worse..hoooo..PAINful...

on the way back, we still managed to 'tapao' Pizza bagus...since it got a very good feedback from many bloggers, we must try it..

we enjoyed our Pizza in out room..while enjoying the windy environment, sitting relaxingly while chatting...the feeling was just fantastic

Pizza Bagus...memang Bagus ba...really yummy !!

we called it night...and went 'oi oi' with my swollen leg...i couldnt enjoy the bath tab bath..such a bad day !!!

neighbour of msia - Indonesia (B@Li) Part 3

19 feb 2009 - sukawati market, sekolah dasar, goa gajah, thirta tempu temple, tegalalang rice terracce, coffee plantation, lovina

on that day, i was really looking forward...we departed at 8am...i requested him to bring us to local warung to taste real local food..he brought us to taste the famous local nasi campur, warung Adi..tasted good...in fact wherever you taste the nasi campur there also quite yummy...

again, we visisted another sekolah dasar...combination of 3 schools 2gether...that day all the kids were wearing khaki colour's uniform..

combination of 3 schools

the kids were so excited seeing us

the teacher also wearing the same colour uniform as them

this is how the school compound looked like

then we proceeded to sukawati pasar seni..nothing much special there...just like normal souvenir stalls in bukit kayu hitam..

'special' craving

it reached afternoon and our stomach started grouching...since we were in Ubud...where d place we would be back the next day..we must try the famous Ibu Oka babi Guling..but we had another famous food to try..so we terpaksa 'tapao'...who knows..tapao really not tasted good...but at least we tried...i liked the chilies..very spicy but special..

like this cost RM18..do you think is expensive??

the pigs there can be prayed..

then was our lunch time at famos restaurant bebek Dengkil which mean dirty duck..the origin of this name was because when the owner was thinking hard to name his restaurant, there were few dirty ducks entering the restaurant. Thus he named it Dirty duck..

this is d famous dirty duck.in fact is fried duck only..didnt have chance to taste the smoking duck..have to pre-order..quite expensive...

this avocado juice is known as menteng street...recommended..it is true that in bali, wherever u drink the avocado juice would be all excellent!!

i ordered this again...

the surrounding of the restaurant..surrounded by natural paddy field..

after having enough of photo shooting, we headed to Goa Gajah..i think it should look like a cave o we need to crawl through the cave..

this is the elephant statue..

you could wash your face, hands and legs here as to get rid of all the bad luck..

i am cleaning my face...purpose was to get rid of all the bad luck and the oil on my face, then welcoming another new great year...

this is the gua..we entered but inside had few rock statue for praying...

next destination was tengalallang..on the way, we could see many shop lots selling craving statue..they are really expertise in this field.

the Tengalallang terrace paddy field just at the roadside..we stopped for awhile to take photos...the greenish looked like never end...i just like the nature look...

Then we were on our way to Thirta tempu temple. There we could see the real prayers having their praying ceremony...This temple is the public temple..which means anyone could come and pray...

according to the chinese tour guide, (we curi-curi) follow another tour which had chinese tour guide explained to them each signifying objects..in Bali we could see many door entrances are small and low..that is because of their belief that all the devils are giant...by having small doors, the giant devils couldnt enter the house or temple..while another belief is, when the door is low, you need to bend down to enter the house or temple, as a way to respect the almighty..depend on you which version you believe in! ! !

their entrance must have to equal pillars, as they believe good and bad, devil and angel, yin and yang is equal..

the people can bath there as to wash away all the bad luck, welcoming all the good lucks..

how the local praying with their praying costumes..normally they need to wear white kebaya for praying..

again, when you want to exit the temple, you must go through this souvenir stalls first...but they wouldnt attract me anymore..all the stuffs are almost the same..so do the price..

next destination - Coffee plantation..It was not much special..but since already in the itinerary, so just went..

this is the coco plant..in Msia we have this plant too

this is the coffee plant..if not mistaken the arabica type..

this woman was frying the coffee seeds..

we were going to taste different types of drinks

the kayu manis are used as stirrer, yet to increase the aroma..special..we were served with ginger tea, choc tea, coffee and dont know what the other tea's name...prefer the coffee better...

after having our tea break, we were heading up to the hill to watch volcano...but too bad the weather was too cloudy..we could see blurry volcano with cloud hiding it behind..

really tired..but we enjoyed the weather up at the hill..now was time for us to rest in the car..as it was a long journey to go to lovina to watch dolphine..i was so excited for tomorrow's plan..but we couldnt really sleep well as i was so afraid of the driver's driving..plus the road was winding and narrow..thank God, we raeched at Lovina safely at about 8pm..on the way, we saw few chinese shops which sold chinese praying stuffs...so happy that could see few chinese here..that place is known as Singaraja..a small town before we reached Lovina

had our dinner there..not much of choices...we ordered mee goreng and nasi goreng..really very sleepy...had to rest early as need to wake up at 6a.m. the next day to watch dolphins
